ALEXANDRE ALLARD
My field of study is Arts and literature, and it’s concentrated in communication and cinema. I want to focus on my field
of study a little bit more, because I think that it’s very interesting what I can do later if I go to university in
communication, or in cinema. But I don’t forget that I’m a musician, and that I want to live of my music.
First of all, I studied in public school all my life. I went to the high school of Ste-Anne-des-Plaines, where I live, for
three years. After, for my secondary four, I went to the “Polyvalente Ste-Thérèse” at Sainte-Thérèse. And two
years ago, I graduated of Félix-Leclerc high school in Repentigny, where I did my secondary five in a special program called
“Sport-Étude”. This was an awesome experience in my life. I’m a soccer player, so I was concentrating in
my sport, while I was studying. We had three periods of works, plus one period of homework, and we were playing soccer in
the afternoon. It was very fun, because you can play the sport you love so much everyday, with good players and good coaches,
but it was so hard to have good notes because we had to deal our schedule of training, and try to study correctly and do home
works.
After I graduate two years ago, I came in Lionel-Groulx College in Arts and Literature. In the entire year of my secondary
five, I was thinking about what I can do later, for a future job. The only thing that I think would make me happy was music.
I was dreaming of living like a rock star, but everyone told me it was not a great idea. So I had to choose something that
was interesting me to go to College. So, because I was good in French, and because I like cinema and everything around this,
I choose Arts and Literature with my specific program. In my third session, I don’t regret my choice, because I still
continue to find it interesting, but I did not loose my passion for music and I’m still dreaming of playing guitar later.
I have a band called “Tie Breaker”, and we play at least once in a week. Sure that with school it’s harder,
but we try to play one time all the band. We met a guy three weeks ago, and it was very cool because he studied in music,
but not to be a musician, but to be the guy who records. He has so many programs in his computer; he can do what he wants.
Because it’s a friend of our singer, he accepted to record us for a demo and he does it free for us, but we have to
record when he can, so, when he doesn’t have a contract or a job. I think it will be a great experience, and maybe it
will help me to make some choice for my future career. Who knows, if it’s not on the scene, maybe It will be behind.
